This website promotes the education in the field of Derivatives in India.  In India, there has  been a lack of education towards the securities markets in general and specifically the field of derivatives.  There is no educational programme / course imparting requisite knowledge in this field.  Ofcourse, there are programmes that touch upon this subject but none of them go deep enough into the subject.   These courses / programmes need to be substantiated with some structured reading material and exercises.  

We have written this book, with a focus on the instruments available in the Indian derivatives market. We have kept the Indian readers in mind at the time of conceptualising this book.  The examples are realistic and are taken from the Indian equity derivatives market. 

The subject of Derivatives isn't simple. Learning anything is always an uphill task.  In our book we have taken into account the gradient of complexity involved in this subject.

We have been associated / interested in the derivatives markets since its very inception in the year 2000. Over the years we have interacted with novices (conducting knowledge upgradation courses etc), collaborated  with regulatory authorities, mediated with investors and extensively debated over complexities in this subject with professional market players.  We have tried to collate these experiences in a textbook format for the benefit of the Indian reader,  finance student or market participant.
